It's been several years but I used to really be in to rpg's.
Not rocket propelled grenades, but role playing games.
- Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (AD&D): about 6
years. Bought the
books, played, DM'ed, wrote a couple modules
- Star Frontiers, inc. Zebulon's, mods
- Top Secret
- Gamma World: played a module
- Adventure Construction Set for Commodore 64
- Warhammer/Warhammer 40k: multiple battles, painted
- Blood Bowl
- Car Wars, designed
- GURPS: 2nd edition, 1st printing
- A MUD or two.
Ever hear of Dragon Magazine? It was a magazine that centered on AD+D and other TSR Role Playing Games. Every now and again it had articles about other manufacturer's games, like Steve Jackson's Car Wars expansion Tanks a lot! and Tanks Again!, which provided for big tanks and stuff in Car Wars. I read like issues 1-130 and some of the later ones.
Collecting comic books was fun when I was like 15. The last two comic
books I acquired are a Marshal Law and the "V for Vendetta" graphic novel,
recently enough.
I had every first edition AD+D book, from Player's Handbook to Wilderness
Survival Guide. I was familiar with every rule in AD+D first edition,
and am.
I've played a lot of strategy and tactical games, like Dune 2, that was one
of the first for PC, then Warcraft and Command & Conquer. Civilization
was fun too, Masters of Orion, all those type games. First person stuff
like Quake is fun too, after a while massive carnage gets boring.
I am a master.
Pool is fun too. I like to play.
